Hello there, my name is Rattandeep Singh and I am a certified Personal Trainer and a Muaythai fighter. This article is for the people who don’t want to workout in public places or like to work out alone because I am also one of them. When it comes to fitness training or working out, I prefer not to do it with anyone because I can do the exercise much better and can concentrate on myself more. But when it comes to boxing or Muaythai, I can train with people and have fun because it’s a combat sport and you will gain more experience and techniques from sparring with someone who trains with you.
I can tell you more about Boxing and Muaythai in another article, but now I will focus on how you can achieve your goals if you workout alone but don’t have proper guidance.

What is your goal?
You know, lots of people who exercise are just doing it without knowing their goals at all. They are just doing it every day without knowing what they really want. So it would be better to know your goals first, like whether you want to lose weight, gain weight or strength training, and so on. First, set your goals and then think about the next step. The most important thing is to never choose unrealistic goals. Make sure your goals are realistic and SMART (I already explained about this in another article: The Ultimate Guide to Achieving Your Fitness Goals).
Essential Equipment for home fitness
Sometimes you need an equipment, but sometimes you don’t. Let’s say you want to work on your running. What you need are a race track and good quality shoes, that’s it. You don’t need any fancy equipment for that. If you have to work on your chest, you can do push-ups, for legs, you can do squats, and for your back muscles you can do pull-ups. Your equipment should be very goal-specific.
I will give you an example of myself. I am a Muay Thai fighter. If you look at my physique, it looks pretty average I don’t have too much muscle on me, I don’t look like a bodybuilder because that’s not my goal. My goal is far different from bodybuilding. What I need is a punching bag, boxing gloves and few more things. If I want to work on my strength, I can buy a kettlebell or a few dumbbells. I don’t need to use every kind of equipment. If I choose to do it, then it’s my choice, but it’s not going to help me in the fight. So, choose your equipment according to your goal and save yourself money.

Diet plan.
Your diet plays an important role in you fitness journey. Just like your equipment should be according to your goal, your diet should be too. The reason is if you want to lose weight, you have to follow the protocols that you need for losing weight. You can take help from internet if you have some knowledge about nutrition, and you can design your schedule, like what you want to eat every day. But remember, this diet plan doesn’t mean that your diet should be boring.
Don’t ever try to make your diet plan super complex, unless your competing in some kind of sport. But even in sports, we don’t follow the diet the whole time. We do it near the competition stage and when we are done, everything goes back to normal. So, design your diet plan, if you can’t, then seek for professional help and don’t make it too complex that you can’t even follow it for one week.
Track your progress.
Tracking your progress will help you to stay motivated and consistent in your journey because seeing yourself grow brings happiness. By tracking your progress, it simply means keeping an eye on yourself, like how your performance was before and how it is now. Are you improving, or are you making some mistakes that you need to work on? It’s like studying yourself. You can use some applications to track your progress or you can use a diary. And yes, never forget to give yourself feedback after every training or workout session.

Online Training
If you don’t want to train outside, like at a gym or a crowded place, and you also don’t have any knowledge of how to train whether it’s for weight loss or any other kind of training. Instead of trying by yourself and doing it wrong, it’s always best to have perfect guidance. I think there is nothing better than Online Personal Training. Get yourself a certified trainer who can guide you on how to achieve your goals, track your progress, and keep yourself fit without getting injured.
The reason I recommend this is that what you see on YouTube or Social Media is not specifically for you. It’s for everyone who is watching it, and you are not everyone. Your body acts differently, your fitness levels can be different, and what works for them may not work for you. So, it’s always better to seek a professional for help when it comes to your health.

So, the conclusion is simple. First, you need to set a goal and with this one thing, everything become clear. Then, you can make decisions about what to do next. Doing wrong workout without any clearity of what you are doing can be critical because, in the end, it’s just your body, and it’s not something to play with or experiment on. So, if you don’t know anything, then hire a professional. If you can manage without a professional, then research as much as possible before engaging in any sort of activity. Also, don’t just start doing what you see on social media because your body is unique and your fitness levels are different.
